Trendy

Turkey with bacon sandwich (about $8)
2 photos

Nice, clean and sunny spot where to eat a sandwich while watching the street, the pedestrians, or the sky. This location has been recently opened, and it quickly became a quite popular spot, specially for people in their 20's or early 30's. Nice minimalist furniture and tables. Appropriate colors (walls) and setting. The inside is a little noisy, but I strongly recommend to eat at the outside tables.... (read more)

Quite Cool

CuneoPizzaEater

Nice restaurant, neither on State Street/Zoo nor faraway from the central movida, which besides its convenient location also features a number of smiling waiters. Slightly priced for a graduate student; affordable otherwise. And definitely tasty and good in terms of food and service respectively!... (read more)

I like it

Burrito de Adobada ($5.50)

El Sitio is quite well known in the area, and this is reasonable because of their low prices, great food, and quick service. Since when I have discovered their location I have been patronizing El Sitio on a regular basis. Their burritos are firm, well cooked, usually well balanced in terms of meat / rice /beans ratio, and they their salsas (roja and verde) are really good. I usually take the food out because their se... (read more)

Burrito Classics

El Sitio's Asada Burrito

Modest, clean, small, unhappy location (looks like a basement, and it is no bigger than a garage); uncomfortable seating (think: garden plastic chairs); a decoration which retains a certain aura of Mexico; a menu featuring incredibly small prices and a classic section of good food are the factors that, all combined together, make this Sitio's branch a remarkable option for a quick lunch or a fast burrito on the go.... Unimpressive food, nice view

Maialoid

We ate lunch at the East Beach Grill on a weekday (Wednesday 1/30/2008). The food did not look tremendous nor it was terrific, but we did enjoy the location -which is optimal- and the view on the ocean was perfect also 'cause it was a sunny day. When it came to ordering, I went for some fried calamari, and these were quite correct. I liked the way they were fried, and (a BIG PLUS) the herbs complements inside the fry... (read more)

Good and Entertaining

The teppan grill at the center of the table

Great and fun place to dine, which is not exactly cheap for my standards (plan to pay some 30$ per person, if you want a dinner), but which is also quite correct for the location in downtown Santa Barbara. The waitress at the door was not exactly smiling, but they immediately catch up with our ‘real' waiter and especially with the cook, who prepared the dinner in front of us at the teppan grill (aka hibachi) table -... All Right, but nothing more

CuneoPizzaEater

This little Vietnamese Restaurant, cornered at the margins of a mall's big parking lot, features the basics of the vietnamese cuisine and low prices (at least for SB). Yesterday night, the food was quite correct and the waitress was ok (perhaps a little to prompt in taking/giving orders). Also, they could have turned the heating on since outside it was raining and cold. Their pho, which I have not tried, looked corre... (read more)

So Delicious, So Overpriced

2 photos

This little taco stand is quite popular in the area, and it is no wonder why. Their location is convenient to both the freeway and a huge parking lot with an adjacent mini-mall, and the grill's little dining room (albeit not really cozy) has big windows, cute little tables, and plenty of sunlight. Today, both the cashier and the waiter were not exactly polite, but this is a minor issue. Also the waiting time, very sh... (read more)
