Modest Italian restaurant with basic Italian menu (including various spelling mistakes, such as Rissoto instead of Risotto, etc.). The location is all right, and so is the service. Still, I found the bill a little too serious.... I understand most "Italian" restaurants in LA are truly expensive, but here at Michelangelo they should provide better service and food if they want to be in line with all that. Specifics: the food is good, but quite ordinary, and not particularly impressive in my views. The "burrata" was too expensive, and featured too much un-necessary garlic bread. Next time please do not cut the cheese for me: I want to see how the burrata looks like and also to check its texture and consistence.
