Nice!...

Medium sized pizza (some $12, feeds two)

I liked: -the waiter's style -the un-pretentiousness of the whole experience -the moderate pricing -the sodas (from Italy) and their selection -the popularity of the place -the fact that the pizza dough was NOT ready-made -the pizza american style I liked less: -the waiting time (maybe there was an error) -the fact that the pizza dough looked tasty but also fatty and somehow unconvincing -the pizza american style... Remains a great option

Burger and fries (circa $5)

Tried again, with consistent results. (see my other review for more pics and detailed info) Cheap, unpretentious and quick. Some 14$ for two lunches. It is un-necessary to over-eat, here: the food fills your stomach quickly. Homemade food, with style and grease. (read more)

Best Greek on Quinpool

CuneoPizzaEater

I have tried this restaurant three times: in July '08 for lunch, in October for dinner and today (May '09) for lunch again. I have never been disappointed--rather, I have understood why it is so popular and always crowded. The food is authentic and really good; the setting comfortable and the atmosphere is friendly (apart from the Greek music on the background, always there and regularly in heavy rotation); the owner... Great for drinking (not for eating)

CuneoPizzaEater

Nice location, seemingly typical Irish pub (but the waiters come to the table and serve you quite promptly). Interesting decoration and many different spaces organized on three adjacent levels. A little noisy, but also frequently featuring live music, etc. Good selection of beers, both draft and bottled. Good service, etc.... (read more)

Interesting Chinese

CuneoPizzaEater

Small, unpretentious restaurant that must be quite popular among the people working in the area, from what I gather having seen it at lunchtime. The menu (preprinted) has a variety of different options from different varieties in the Chinese cuisine (Cantonese, Szechuan, etc.) Prices are moderate (just like the setting and decoration), the service is prompt, and the food I ordered was quite genuine.... I really liked it

table and presentation
6 photos

New management (since the last year, from what I heard), excellent decor and ambience, polite service. And good food. That's, in summary, what my experience was. Maybe I am a little biased, because my dinner was on someone else. Or maybe I was just positively impressed by the perfect service with a 50+ table (our party). Whichever the case, a very positive experience.... (read more)

Home-made and affordable

Cousin's Snack Bar on Agricola St.
3 photos

Interesting diner with retro/vintage decoration. Definitely unsophisticated. Quick service, friendly place (despite the appearances), with, at least for tonight, some TV-voice over in the background. The prices are very affordable, and the menu list quite minimal. All the classics are represented: burgers, cheeseburgers, eggs, etc. Looks perfect for breakfast. The specials' list is impressive and regularly updated.... (read more)

Bo.Bo.Boh?

Lamb Medallions ($25)

Nice location, with Bo-Bo decoration. I guess they want to give themselves some kind of a tone, and they do quite well in this (considering the context). The service was prompt, apart from the somehow pretentious welcoming podium. The overall sense of bo.bo.-ness (meaning: bourgeois-ness & bohémien-ness with a vein of parvenu-ed hobo-ness) was definitely confirmed by their prices. At dinner-time: entrees for 25$...
