Delicious discovery

Back in the 1990's, once, I went to this Pizzeria and all what I remember is that I had to wait forever before being served. Since then, I had never came back again. Now, some fifteen years later, I have completely changed my mind, and I have a positive opinion of this pizzeria.... (read more)
Truly informal

Jocasta is a sort of Pub turned into a pizzeria. Hence, I declined the typical-pub menu options (from hamburgers onwards) in favor of their pizza, as suggested by both my nickname and by the example set by the other customers.... (read more)
Mozzarella and its eatable derivates... Napoli Style

As of Jan. the 1st, 2009, this is a new entry on the local eating scene. Basically, a new branch of an already quite popular chain. Their strong points: the truly neapolitan ingredients, and the serialized food. Despite serialization, my eating experience was remarkably positive in terms of food.... (read more)
The best in the world

This is by far my preferred pizzeria ever. I know it is a matter of personal taste, and I am also sure there are so many good pizzerias around (especially Italy), but this one is really outstanding in my views. See my other reviews for numerous terms of comparison.... (read more)

After the summer 2007 review, I came back a couple of times in the last two weeks (12 and then 20 december) and I confirm in toto my previous understanding. Fast service, decent accommodation, and not-excessive pricing (about 8 to 12 euros per person, depending on the drinks). But, especia... (read more)
Totally Yummy!!

The ambient of this pizzeria/neapolitan restaurant is quite kitsch, with heavy decorations and plenty of charged colours. Everything is self-referential, from the self-proclaimed 'master of pizzas' pizzaiolo to the pictures of Tramonti, the city from which (according to the information given at the counter) pizza was born and then exported in the world (and, of course, from which I suspect the owner comes from). In b... (read more)
Why being so ordinary?

Margellina is a hundred percent ordinary pizzeria in an ordinary environment, with an ordinary (electric) oven. Nothing seems worthy of particular praising, and nothing memorable remains to be mentioned. The décor has something slighlty retro (it looks like we are still in the late '70s, but from an ordinary perspective and definitely little good taste) and this means a love at first sight to me. The very ordinary p... (read more)
In Excellence We Trust

I have been testing this pizzeria consistently throughout the years, and I have *always been fully satisfied*. This is how an excellent pizzeria should look like, including clean restroom, appropriate environment (including the acquarium), outisde and inside seating, polite non-intrusive waiters, cute barman, limited waiting time, and especially the *outstanding pizzas with genuine ingredients, wondeful taste, big si...
